I am quite a fan of vampire narratives and films, and was quite attracted to the plot outline of John Ajvide Lindqvist's 2004 novel, Let the Right One In, when I chanced upon it just last year. Strangely though, I have yet to read the book whereas my sister had already bought and probably read the book based on my recommendation.
I was even more intrigued to learn that a film adaptation had surfaced at this year's Tribeca Film Festival and that the critical response was positive, and it even landed the Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature at the festival.
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to this; and the trailer promises that this is no 30 Days of Night. Now I just need to decide if I should read the book first ...
